SENIOR PROCUREMENT MANANGER (FLEET, TRANSPORT & OUTSOURCED LOGISTICS)

SALARY: £60-70k + 30% BONUS + £6.5k CAR ALLOWANCE

LOCATION: LEEDS (HYBRID 1 -2 DAYS A WEEK IN OFFICE)

My client is a global leading courier business that currently operates in over 150+ countries. They are at the forefront of innovation within the parcel delivery service with their transformation in track and trace technology and approach to sustainability throughout the corporation. The company have won industry awards for their achievements within IT, innovation, and their environmentally friendly green fleet.

During the pandemic many businesses fell short, however the parcel delivery industry boomed during this period and has allowed for incremental growth within the industry. The company has recently secured contracts with one of the largest e-commerce brands and are expected to beat their all-time records for profit.

Some Responsibilities as a Senior Procurement Manager (Fleet, Transport & Outsourced Logistics):

• Lead Procurement Managers in high impact value delivery to the business through strategic procurement
• Execution of core P2P processes: - Cost reduction, Supply Chain Resilience, Risk Mitigation and ESG enablement
• Managing spend of £300m+ external fleet and transport
• Developing and influencing strategies to deliver improvements in Quality, ESG impact, CAPEX and cash flow
• Lead and challenge all critical commercial analysis for responsbile categories
• Work alongside and influence Heads-of and Directors within the business and build strong working relationships with key stakeholders

Requirements of a Senior Procurement Manager (Fleet, Transport & Outsourced Logistics)

• Experience with fleet and logistics procurement in a similar role and scale of business, experience within the logistics or retail industries preferable
• Strong knowledge of commercial levers to influence procurement spend, ability to creatively identify new opportunities that challenge standard convention
• Experience of managing a small team preferrable
• Strong Financial Awareness and experience of working within and influencing others to work within budgets and cash flow requirements
