SENIOR PROCUREMENT MANAGER (TRANSPORT, LOGISTICS & OUTSOURCED LOGISTICS) - GLOBAL COURIER SERVICE

SALARY: £65-70K + 30% BONUS + £6.5K CAR ALLOWANCE

LOCATION: LEEDS (1-2 DAYS IN OFFICE)

This opportunity with a lucrative 30% bonus (paid out consecutively for last 3 years) is with a global logistics organisation. The firm are having major success within the logistics space, recently winning a contract with one of the largest e-commerce brands globally. They are also leading innovation by being at the forefront of new technology for track and trace and with the sustainability targets for their fleet! The organisation like many is heavily focusing on reducing their carbon footprint and exploring upcoming electric/hybrid vehicles to meet their sustainability goals.

Some Responsibilities as a Senior Procurement Manager (Fleet, Transport & Logistics):

  • Managing a procurement lifecycle of £300m+ for external fleet and transport spend
  • Form independent relationships with key supplier and support continuous improvement/innovation
  • Work closely with Heads-of and directors within the Business to be seen as a Trusted Advisor
  • Manage 2 senior Buyers as direct reports and development and career progression for those individuals.

Some Requirements as a Senior Procurement Manager (Fleet, Transport & Logistics):

  • Experience with fleet and/or logistics procurement
  • Strong Financial awareness and experience of working within and influencing others to work within budgets and overall cashflow requirements
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles for cash flow, savings recognition and OPEX/CAPEX
  • Experience managing a small team is preferrable
