Strategic Buyer - Indirect Procurement

Global Technology Services Business

Location - Paris, FR (2 Days in Office, 3 Days Home)

Salary - €42-€47k Fixed

This global industry leader in the technology services and consultancy space is expanding its Professional Services procurement team and is looking for Strategic Buyers to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to further develop their procurement career in the area of indirect spend with a particular focus on Professional Services, this could include HR, Recruitment, Temporary Labour, and other similar services.

You will be working closely with the French Head of Procurement for Professional Services and Regional Category Director to monitor the performance and service delivery of key suppliers of professional services and lead on local RFPs, RFQs, tenders, and negotiations with new and existing suppliers.

You should have a good understanding of the procurement process and wider category strategy to ensure that suppliers are performing at the levels expected by the business and be able to independently run end-to-end sourcing projects within your category.

To be considered for the position of Strategic Buyer - Indirect Procurement you should have at least the following skills and experience:-

  • Some previous experience working in an indirect procurement with knowledge of managing service-based suppliers; this could be professional services, facilities, HR or other similar corporate services
  • Experience in supplier management to track KPIs and performance and challenge any issues with suppliers
  • A BIG personality, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills to understand business needs and manage discussions between internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills to manage high-value contract negotiations
  • Confidence in working in a large matrix organization and operating in a high-pressure environment
  • Degree qualification or previous relevant experience in procurement; MSc or MAI degree in Procurement is highly desirable
