Global Procurement Lead - External Manufacturing - Global FMCG - Location - London Salary - £85,000 - £96,000 + Car & Bonus - 12 Month Contract

Globally renowned manufacturer of household food snacks is seeking an agile and experienced procurement professional to leads its External Manufacturing procurement team.

The role will see you managing a number of key external suppliers responsible for the end-to-end supply chain process for the development of their products. You will have a close involvement with the New Product Development activities coordinating with sales, marketing, supply chain, and other critical business units in order to ensure that your external suppliers are meeting the business's requirements.

As the Global Category Head, you will be a key member of the Global Procurement team and the global raw materials procurement team. You will be a key business partner in the product development lifecycle working closely with Marketing & R&D to drive innovation to the product portfolio.

Key Skills & Responsibilities for the Global Procurement Lead for Third Party Manufacturing include: -

  • Develop and Implementing Global Sourcing Strategy for external Manufacturing
  • Work closely with the New Product Development teams to ensure products are launched on time and at the best cost
  • Provide deep-dive analysis of the supplier performance, monitoring KPIs and implementing effective supplier performance tracking tools
  • Design category management strategy that ensures business objectives related to Compliance, Quality, Service Level, and Costs are all met
  • A procurement background specialized in sourcing third party manufacturing suppliers or for raw materials and packaging suppliers
  • Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing industry, preferably in the consumer goods sector
  • Experience in working in large multinational corporate environments with a global matrix reporting structure
  • Excellent project management and relationship management experience to operate in part of large cross-functional project teams
