How to build a hospital in just 10 days
This is the progress on day four of a 10-day schedule for the construction firms commissioned by authorities in Wuhan, China to complete the 1,000-bed Huoshenshan hospital for coronavirus patients. The prefab is being built around a holiday complex intended for local workers. The country has form with speedy build, having erected a prefab hospital in seven days during the Sars virus in 2003. A second new hospital in Wuhan, with 13,000 beds, is expected to take three weeks.
And inset is the Huoshenshan hospital on day 10. As builders finish off, the hospital is delivered to the Chinese government, and patients were admitted the following day.
