Knott lands top role at NHS Pasa

The NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency (Pasa) has appointed a chief operating officer.

Rob Knott stepped into the new post on 3 April from the Department for Work and Pensions, where he led the procurement modernisation programme.

Speaking about his appointment, he said: "The health sector has an enviable reputation in the delivery of strategic supply chain management and is seen by many as an example of best practice in key areas.

"I am joining a highly regarded organisation and look forward to working with the team over the coming months."

Duncan Eaton, chief executive of Pasa, said: "I am glad to welcome Rob to my team. He comes to us with considerable relevant experience of purchasing at the highest level within both the public and private sectors."

Knott's previous roles include transformation director with the double CIPS Supply Management award-winning Metropolitan Police procurement transformation programme.

He is also a member of SM's editorial advisory board.

Details of Knott's roles and priorities have yet to be confirmed.
