Top UK impressionist Jon Culshaw is to bring his extensive repertoire of famous voices, which includes Bill Clinton and Russell Crowe, to this year’s CIPS Supply Management Awards as the host of the ceremony.
The critically acclaimed funny man, whose TV credits include Spitting Image, The Big Breakfast and Jon Culshaw’s Commercial Breakdown, will treat delegates at this year’s event to a showcase of his best material before presenting the winners with their awards.
It opens up the prospect of a range of famous voices giving their views on procurement and supply chain management, such as Frank Bruno’s tips on waste management and Dale Winton’s views on PQQs.
In 1998, Culshaw hit the headlines when he rang up 10 Downing Street while impersonating the then leader of the opposition William Hague. Taken in by his impression of Hague, the Number 10 switchboard put him straight through to Prime Minister Tony Blair. Prior to becoming one of the country’s leading impressionists, he worked as a DJ on Radio 1.
This year’s black-tie gala ceremony will be held on 11 September at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. AirPlus is the headline sponsor of the event. It is also supported by Hays Procurement and QinetiQ Commerce Decisions is the official technology provider for the judging.
The shortlist of this year’s nominees will be revealed later this month. For more information and details on how to book your table for the night of celebration, visit the website or call +44 (0)20 7880 7555.
