Oilfield procurement services business Craig International is to open offices in both Doha and Dubai, having won a five-year deal to manage $55 million spend in Qatar.

The company, which provides procurement services to oil and gas operators, will employ nine staff in the region initially, with further expansion intended.

“This prestigious contract has allowed us to bring forward our plans for the Middle East, a region we have been looking at for some time,” said Jill MacDonald, joint managing director of Craig International.

“By outsourcing the management of procuring oilfield products and services, our client will benefit from major cost-savings and greater efficiencies."
