Inquiry launched into dairy industry pricing

Australia’s competition watchdog has launched an enquiry into competition between milk processors and other elements of the dairy industry.

The move comes after the country’s largest dairy cooperative, Murray Goulburn, and the chains Coles and Woolworths came under criticism following price wars that led to milk being sold at $1 a litre.
