Nigeria is facing a medicine shortage that could lead to an “upsurge in disease, health complications and death” a medical association has warned.
The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) has said the scarcity of foreign exchange (forex) in the country could cause and “absolute drought of raw materials” for the manufacturing of medicines because most of the industry imports key ingredients.
