Hermes gives African art a global boost

African art has enjoyed a surge in popularity after luxury fashion house Hermes commissioned a South African ceramic art producer to design its signature prints.

The French label approached Ardmore, an African art collective known for creating striking ceramics of Zulu, Zimbabwean and Sotho pottery, to create art for their signature silk scarves in 2013.
