A decision by South Korea's antitrust regulator to fine US chip maker Qualcomm a record $854bn for what it called unfair business practices could have an impact on the wider supply of chips in the future.
The Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) ruled that Qualcomm had abused its dominant market position at the expense of its customers. The fine was the largest ever levied on a private company in the country.
