New procurement rules may increase the cost of around 60 defence projects outlined in this year’s federal budget, an analyst has warned.
Mark Thomson, defence economist at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute told SM the new Commonwealth Procurement Rules could not only increase the cost but also delay the progress of some projects earmarked for funding in the federal budget 2017-18.
