A public consultation on land supply options will ask Hong Kong residents if they would support the relocation of the Kwai Tsing container terminal to make way for housing or have homes built on platforms above the port.
The Task Force on Land Supply, a government-appointed committee charged with selecting the best solutions for Hong Kong’s severe land shortage, said it was open-minded to both ideas.
