A business group has warned Australian firms are at “breaking point” after electricity prices soared by 8.9%.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 0.6% in the September quarter 2017, with the most significant price rises being electricity (8.9%), tobacco at (4.1%) and international holiday travel and accommodation (4.1%).
