Egypt is expected to finalise the contracts for its first nuclear power stations by the end of the year, it has been reported.
The 4.8 gigawatt (GW) plant at El Dabaa will be built by Russian state-owned firm Rosatom at a cost of $30bn, of which $25bn will be provided by Russia in the form of a state loan. The remaining money will be provided by Egypt.
