Malaysian rail project taps local contractors

Some 180 local subcontractors have expressed interested in working on Malaysia’s RM55bn (US$13bn) East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project, led by China Communications Construction Company (CCCC).

In line with the Malaysian government’s commitment to local players in the ECRL, a roadshow was set up in four state capitals from 15-23 October to reach out to Malaysian subcontractors in the East Coast states and Selangor.
