Martian city planned for UAE

The UAE is investing D500m to create a mock Martian city that will simulate life on the red planet.

As well as developing technology for future Mars colonies, the 1.9m sq ft Mars Science City will seek to solve more earthly challenges including future food, water and energy security. The UAE hopes some of the experiments will pave the way for new innovations in self sufficiency.
