A ruptured pipeline has cut jet fuel supplies at Auckland Airport and forced the airline to ration oil stocks.
The pipeline is the only source of aviation fuel for New Zealand’s largest airport and stocks are running at 30% of normal levels. The reduction has caused some long haul flights to make additional refuelling stops at airports in Australia and the Pacific.
