The need for a solution to the water scarcity problems suffered by countries in North Africa has been highlighted by the World Bank.
More than 60% of the region’s population live in areas with high or very high surface water stress. The report recommended planning and management to deliver water services that are affordable and mitigate the economic and social cost disruption that results from scarcity or sudden water disasters.
