Zambian president Edgar Lungu has called for an investigation into the procurement of 42 trucks after public outcry over his alleged ties with the winning supplier.
Several members of Parliament have demanded answers after it was revealed that Grand View Limited, the firm awarded the tender to supply the government with the 42 fire engines for $42m, is owned by the president's close business associate Bokani Soko, according to Lusaka Times.
