Indigenous firm is awarded first major aid contract

Efforts to support workers from the Pacific Islands in Australia has seen the award of the first major aid contract to an Indigenous firm.

The Pacific Labour Facility (PLF) marks the first major aid contract awarded to an Indigenous business, i2i, following the introduction of procurement rules by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) earlier this year around supporting Indigenous firms.
