Malcolm Harrison has been announced as the new CIPS group CEO.
Harrison, currently CEO of the Crown Commercial Service, will take over from interim Gerry Walsh in July.
Tim Richardson, chair of the CIPS Global Board of Trustees, said: “After a lengthy recruitment process, Malcolm is a very welcome addition to the CIPS team, bringing with him a wealth of procurement and leadership experience from both the public and private sectors.
“CIPS is in great shape and Malcolm will have a solid base from which to build the next phase of growth and development for the organisation.”
Harrison has experience across a number of industry sectors and as CEO of the CCS oversaw annual spend of around £13bn on common goods and services across the UK public sector.
