The Ghanaian government has saved more than GCH820m ($180m) by cutting down on single source and restricted tender procurements, the president has said.
President Nana Akufo-Addo said only 56.6% of single sourcing requests, and less than half (48%) of requests for restricted tenders, were approved in 2017. This is compared to 98% of single sourcing and 99% for restricted tenders request being approved in 2016.
