Ethiopia is preparing to resume using two major Eritrean ports as part of a drive to open the door to trade and investment between the countries following a 20-year military standoff.
The landlocked nation is repairing roads to the ports of Assab in neighbouring south Eritrea and Massawa in the north, and has established a task force drawn from several government ministries for transport, maritime affairs, shipping and logistics to re-establish trade links.
