Australia and ASEAN members will reject protectionism amid the threat of a possible trade war triggered by US plans to raise tariffs on steel and aluminium imports.
Speaking during a joint press conference with Singapore prime minister Lee Hsien Loong at the ASEAN Special Summit, Australian prime minister Malcolm Turnbull denounced protectionism as a “dead end”.
