Global ports operator DP World is to benefit from a $385m compensation award after a court ruled that the Djibouti government’s new port agreements with China illegally sidelined the operator from an existing deal.
The long-running dispute centres around the Djibouti government’s attempts to agree new container port deals with China, shutting out DP World Group, which part owns the Doraleh Container Terminal (DCT).
