Organisations must embrace big data, the digital technology it fuels and the overall impact on commerce. So says Stephen Scheeler, one of Australia’s key figures in digital strategy.
Speaking at the CIPS Australasia Conference in Melbourne, this former managing director of Facebook in Australia and New Zealand said the change in trade was so significant that it would disrupt accepted wisdom about how business is conducted – wisdom that has gone unchallenged since the inception of capitalism late in the 19th century and which is based on treating employees “like children”.
