New procurement thresholds for the UK public sector come into force on 1 January 2020.

The thresholds apply for the purposes of the Public Contract Regulations 2015, Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016, Concession Contract Regulations 2016 and the Defence and Security Procurement Regulations 2011.

In a Procurement Policy Note, the Cabinet Office said the European Commission had provided the finalised agreed thresholds.

“The revised thresholds show an increase, which is due to fluctuations in exchange rates over the previous two years,” said the note.
