Nigeria’s Senate has passed a bill to amend public procurement rules to relieve “bottlenecks” in the process.
The Senate agreed that local contractors should be paid a 30% “mobilisation fee” as part of the bill to incentivise suppliers to move quickly when they are awarded federal government contracts.
