A New Zealand body set up to help improve public procurement is not yet meeting expectations and needs to be clearer about its strategic aims, a report by the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) has said.
The OAG said New Zealand Government Procurement (NZGP), a business unit in the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment set up in 2012, was responsible for leading improvements in public purchasing.
