Nissan invests in $160m Algerian factory

Nissan Motor Co is in the process of setting up a joint venture (JV) with long-term distributor Groupe Hasnaoui to build a $160m vehicle plant in Algeria.

The factory will have an annual production capacity of 63,500 passenger vehicles and commercial cars, and is expected to provide 1,800 jobs in Algeria, as well as supporting the surrounding supply chain.
