The first bricks are set to be laid as part of Saudi Arabia’s futuristic new city after the Neom Founding Board approved plans for Neom Bay, the first urban area to be developed as part of the scheme.
Work on the first phase of Neom Bay is set to start in the first quarter of 2019 and be completed in 2020 while several key facilities will be completed by the end of this year including the current airport at Sharma, according to Saudi state news agency SPA.
