This year’s CIPS graduation ceremony will be live-streamed for the first time.
Almost 300 students from around the world will be celebrating their graduation on Friday, 29 March, but spaces are limited at Peterborough Cathedral.
“Due to limited spaces for the guests of graduating members, this year we will be live streaming the event to ensure that family, friends and work colleagues can also celebrate the moment with them,” said a CIPS spokesperson. “Make sure you don’t miss this fantastic event by following the live feed on Facebook at CIPS UK.”
To view the ceremony visit the CIPS Facebook page at 12.45pm GMT.
Also for the first time graduating students will be able to achieve their MCIPS through completing CIPS qualifications or the Advanced Practitioner Corporate Award, plus three years’ work experience at a senior level.
CIPS group CEO Malcolm Harrison will tell graduates: “Your studying journey may have finished, but your learning journey continues, and CIPS is here to support you every step of the way as your career develops and you seek bigger roles or more responsibility.
“Today’s demands on procurement and supply are much broader and more complex than when I started out over 30 years ago. This brings with it both opportunities and challenges for those who work in the procurement and supply profession.
“Whilst you have reached a landmark in terms of your technical skills, you will need to remain current as well as to continuously hone your leadership and broader commercial skills.”
