Singapore could strongly benefit from adopting a “circular economy” to reduce food waste, the Singapore Environment Council (SEC) has said.
A report, Advancing A Circular Economy For Food: Key Drivers And Recommendations To Reduce Food Loss And Waste In Singapore, said that every year around 342,000 tonnes of food is wasted in Singapore, costing around $2.54bn annually.
