$697m spent with local firms, says Lockheed Martin

Defence firm Lockheed Martin channelled contracts worth $697m to 675 local companies as a result of its Australia operations in 2019.

The maker of the F-35 Lightning joint strike fighter also created 6,318 direct jobs in Australia, according to an economic analysis commissioned by the company.
