Seven African nations have signed an agreement that commits them to introduce legislation criminalising the trafficking of fake medicines.
Presidents Faure Gnassingbe of Togo, Macky Sall of Senegal, Yoweri Museveni of Uganda and government representatives from Ghana, Congo, Niger and The Gambia signed up to the Lomé Initiative at a meeting in Lomé, Togo.
