Defence 'megaproject' has procurement lessons

An audit into the Australian Department of Defence's (DoD) $80bn “megaproject” to acquire a new submarine fleet has provided procurement lessons for future government operations.

An audit report by the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) examined the DoD’s handling of the Future Submarine programme amid delays and a burgeoning budget.
