India now 'second-largest mobile phone maker'

India has become the second-largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world, according to a government minister.

Ravi Shankar Prasad, minister for law and justice, communications, electronics and information technology, announced in a tweet that in the last five years more than 200 mobile phone manufacturing units had been set up in India.
