Oman spends almost $1bn with SMEs

Oman’s government awarded 38m Omani rials (RO) ($98.7m) in contracts to SMEs in 2019, representing 6.74% of the total spending on government tenders and procurement. 

To qualify for the contracts businesses had to be registered with Riyada, the Omani authority for SME development.
