The Procurement Power List 2020 revealed by CIPS and SM

The third annual list of the most influential people in procurement has been unveiled by CIPS and Supply Management, in partnership with C2FO.

The CIPS Procurement Power List recognises leaders who are pushing procurement and supply chain strategy forward and making a positive contribution to the reputation of the profession.

The list, which was compiled with a panel of leading industry experts and executive search agencies, has been announced today as a CIPS member-exclusive supplement and will be publicly available on 13 July. A free webinar event celebrating the procurement leaders will be held on 14 July.

The list includes two new categories: ‘On the move’ for leaders who have recently changed jobs, and a ‘Champions of Change’ category celebrating CPOs who have taken on broader roles, have representation at company executive level and are leading on sustainability for their organisations.

The list comes at a time when Covid-19 has put immense pressure on purchasing teams around the world, making it more important than ever to celebrate the successes of procurement leaders.

Malcolm Harrison, group CEO, CIPS, said: “I’m delighted to share the CIPS Procurement Power List 2020 with you in what are the most exceptional circumstances for us all – may I personally congratulate everyone who is featured on the list this year.

“Leaders on this list are engaged in major change or transformational projects, whether that was the positioning of procurement within their organisation or driving the ethical sourcing or sustainability agenda. But in addition to this, they all have credibility within the wider procurement community. They don’t just deliver, they have a reputation for delivering and for doing it in the right way. They have a reputation for delivering through their people and for developing their people into great professionals in procurement and supply.”

You can find out more about the list by visiting the dedicated Procurement Power List microsite, where it will be readable from 13 July.
