India to recover rare earth metals from scrapped cars

India has introduced a new car scrapping policy which will help it recover rare earth metals.

The government said that the National Automobile Scrappage Policy was part of its “waste-to-wealth mission” and would contribute to the circular economy, reduce pollution and protect the environment.
