Oil and gas-producing countries could face a $13tn gap in revenues over the next two decades as the world moves away from fossil fuels, a report has warned.
The report, by think tank Carbon Tracker, said lower fossil fuel demand and prices will have “significant implications for fiscal sustainability” for 40 of the most oil-dependent countries, predominantly in the Middle East, North and West Africa and South America.
