China to 'become world's largest economy in 2028'

China is set to overtake the US and become the world’s largest economy in 2028 – five years earlier than previous estimates, according to a report.

The Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR) said in its annual report it had brought forward the date when it anticipated that China would overtake the US due to the coronavirus.
