'Black Wednesday' pours pressure on oil sector to cut CO2

Hydrocarbon-dependent economies in the Middle East are likely to be taking notice after a series of defeats for the petrochemical industry in what was dubbed “Black Wednesday” for big oil.

Within 24 hours three major international oil companies were shaken by a series of events that will force them to significantly intensify efforts to reduce CO2 emissions.
