Cambodia banking on gold after oil fail

Cambodia has launched mining activities at its first commercial gold mine and has produced its first gold ingots.

Mining has started at the Okvau Gold Project located in Mondulkiri province in eastern Cambodia, around 275km northeast of the capital Phnom Penh, state news agency Agence Kampuchea Presse reported.
