Bahrain launches procurement for $32bn transport project

Bahrain has launched the procurement for its public private partnership (PPP) Metro project, which aims to develop a state-of-the-art fully automated and driverless transport network.

The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (MTT) announced that the $32bn project would be part of the kingdom’s Vision 2030 initiative to wean the economy off a dependence on fossil fuels.
