Asian countries call for $1tn in climate financing

India has pledged to become carbon neutral by 2070, the country’s first such target.

Speaking at the COP26 Summit in Glasgow, UK, prime minister Narendra Modi said the country aimed to reduce its emissions to net zero by that time.
