New Zealand plans to get tough on modern slavery

New Zealand’s Ministry for Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is to consult businesses on plans to strengthen modern slavery and worker exploitation laws.

MBIE said its modern slavery and worker exploitation consultation document aimed to secure feedback on new legislation that would create new responsibilities across operations and supply chains in the country’s businesses.
