Covid clampdown 'guarantees' supply chain disruption

Heavy-handed lockdowns in response to local Covid outbreaks in China could lead to cascading impacts on global supply chains, analysts and supply chain experts have warned.

Shane Hodgkins, CEO of Australia-based digital supply chain construction visibility tool Matrak, told Supply Management he believed global supply chain disruption was “basically guaranteed” as long as Beijing continues with its zero-tolerance coronavirus policy.
